The S-Pass is a Singapore work visa type designed for mid-level skilled foreign workers employed by companies operating in Singapore.

The application is assessed based on a point system with consideration for each of the following factors: salary, educational qualifications, skills, job type, and work experience.

Who is the S-Pass for?

The S Pass is for skilled foreign employees across all nationalities or citizenships who:

  • Have a job offer in Singapore.
  • Earn a fixed monthly salary comparable to the top one-third of the local APT workforce by age, as shown below:
Upcoming changes to S Pass eligibility criteria

There will be further changes to the S Pass qualifying salary on 1st September 2023 and 1st September 2025 onwards.

Eligibility for S-Pass

To be eligible for an S Pass, foreign workers must meet certain criteria. These include:

  • A fixed monthly salary of S$2,000 or above.
  • Possession of a degree, diploma, or technical/ specialist qualifications.
  • Relevant work experience and skills.

Decisions on all applications are subject to the discretion of the approving authorities.
